Our dedicated staff and volunteers spent 132,727 hours in the community, delivering care support to 3,048 people, their families, and friends throughout Kent. These hours represent countless moments of respite, enabling Carers to recharge, attend to their own needs, and continue their invaluable role in society.
We traveled 511,225 miles to reach 2,740 locations across the county—equivalent to more than a trip around the world each month. No distance was too far when it came to ensuring Carers could access the support they deserve.
Our team handled over 110,000 phone calls throughout the year—approximately 50,000 incoming and 60,000 outgoing. These calls were essential for coordinating care, responding to enquiries, and maintaining communication with the Carers and families we support.
From coastal towns to rural villages, we've been there to keep our community stronger, families together, and empower Carers to live fulfilling lives while caring for their loved ones. Every mile traveled and every hour served was worth the effort. It was not just delivering a service—it was about making friends, creating memories, and learning from each other. We witnessed countless moments of connection and growth that reminded us why this work matters.
Besides our direct delivery of services, throughout 2025 we also:
- Launched a new paid service that brings more flexibility beyond our free services
- Created carer events to connect Carers with nature, wellbeing, and more importantly, with each other
- Extended our Crossroads Clubs offerings to new locations
- Received the Mental Health Charity of the Year award at the Kent Charity Awards for our Carers Counselling project
- Expanded our face-to-face delivery locations for our Carers Counselling service
- Started volunteer gardening groups providing support in West Kent
- Developed an easier and more effective pathway for referrals
- Attended and participated in community events all over the county
- Secured £20K in sponsorship and grants providing direct financial or in-kind support to carers
- Celebrated our supporters fundraising for our cause at events across Kent
- Constantly improved our services and offerings to better serve Carers
Thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, supporters, and the communities we serve for making 2025 a year of meaningful impact.
