We are delighted to share some exciting news. Crossroads Care Kent is launching Paid Services; a new care service designed to meet the needs of people across Kent who are looking for flexible, high-quality care in their own home.
Why We're Doing This
For years, our free respite care has been our lifeline to families and individuals across the County. We know that demand is high and our free service operates under certain delivery hours, set periods and conditions. We've listened to the Community and we've heard that many people need broad and flexible support beyond what our statutory services can offer.
That's why we have created Paid Services. This new service fills an important gap, offering flexibility and affordability, without compromising on the quality that Crossroads Care Kent is proud of. Every pound you pay goes directly towards covering the costs of delivering this high-quality care—nothing more.
Who Will Benefit
Paid Services is for anyone who needs care support at home at time that is convenient for you. Whether you're a Carer looking for a break, a family planning a special occasion, someone recovering from hospital or surgery, or someone who simply needs regular support suited to your life—this service is for you.
You might need us for a one-off booking: a wedding, a birthday celebration, an important business meeting, or a well-deserved night out. Or you might need regular weekly visits to give you peace of mind and support with daily activities. Whatever your circumstances, we're here to help.
Why This Matters
As a Charity, we've always put people at the centre of everything we do. Paid Services differs from domicillary care, we are there for both the Carer and the person with care needs. It's full, meaningful support, tailored to what you actually need and what works best for you. Our trained, experienced care staff bring genuine personal care—and wherever possible, the same carer visits you each time. We know how much that personal connection matters, especially when you're building trust and consistency into your care.
We're also proud to be CQC registered and currently rated GOOD. This reflects our commitment to quality, safety, and compassionate care that treats people with dignity and respect.

All payments go directly towards the costs of delivering this high-quality care—ensuring we can continue to support you with experienced, trained staff and reliable, flexible support. We will continue our people-centred care delivery in Kent for Kent.

What to Expect When You Call
We'll ask you about the care you need, how often, and when. We'll explain our pricing clearly—there are no hidden fees. The only additional cost might be mileage at 75p per mile if staff need to take you somewhere by car. We'll aim to assign the same carer to your visits, and we'll do our best to work around your schedule.
Minimum booking is 2 hours. We can cover days, nights, and short breaks, including 24-hour periods, subject to availability. If you book 2 hours, you get 2 hours - we do not include our staff's travel time in your personal care.
