Help Sittingbourne's Young Carers

Vote for our Sittingbourne Young Carers group at your local Tesco and help us win a grant of up to £1,500

Between now and 31st March 2026, our Crossroads Young Carers project in Sittingbourne has been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme – and we need local shoppers to help us make the most of this incredible opportunity.

How Sittingbourne Shoppers Can Help

If you shop at any of these local Tesco stores, you'll receive a blue token at checkout each time you visit. Simply drop your token into the Crossroads Young Carers box to help us win a grant of up to £1,500:

Sittingbourne stores:

  • Quartz Way Express, ME10 5AB
  • Sittingbourne Express, ME10 1BQ
  • Canterbury Road Express, ME10 4SG

Sheppey store:

  • Sheerness Superstore, ME12 1RH

Every token counts, and the project with the most votes receives the largest grant. Three local projects are competing, so your vote really matters.

Supporting Young Carers in Our Community

Crossroads Young Carers supports children aged 5 to 16 in Sittingbourne who care for family members at home. These young people balance caring responsibilities alongside school and childhood.

Through our programme, young carers attend regular group nights where they can socialise, make new friends, and enjoy activities like sports, arts and crafts, and team games in a safe, non-judgemental space. During school holidays, we provide respite activity days that give young carers a break from their caring role and a chance to try new experiences. We also offer emotional support, skills workshops, school liaison and advocacy, and family guidance to ensure young carers get the support they need both at home and in education.
